These men of God sought God’s counsel and prospered. 

King David

King David prospered when he sought the Lord’s counsel before he moved forward.

2 Samuel 5:17-20

King Jehoshaphat

Jehoshaphat’s kingdom was established, because his heart took delight in the ways of the Lord. 

2 Chronicles 17:3-6

King Uzziah (Azariah)

Uzziah was 26 years old when he became king of Judah, and he reigned 52 years. As a young king, he sought the Lord, did what was right in the sight of the Lord, and God made him prosper.

King Hezekiah

When Hezekiah sought God and instituted righteous reforms, he and his people prospered.

Ezra

Ezra arrived safely in Jerusalem from Babylon, according to the good hand of his God upon him, because he had prepared his heart to study God’s Word, obey it and teach it.

Nehemiah

When Nehemiah sought God in prayer, he found favour with King Artaxerxes, and received what he needed to help his people rebuild in Jerusalem.
